Elyxon Go Privacy Policy
1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Shenzhen Ditai Technology Co., Ltd. and its affiliates (collectively, “Ditai Technology,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information when you use the Elyxon Go mobile application and related services (the “App”). Unless a separate notice says otherwise, Ditai Technology is the business, controller, or personal-information processor responsible for the processing described in this Policy.
This Policy applies to the App, our App-related backend services, account and authentication flows, supported connected vehicles and smart devices, firmware and diagnostic services, in-App support, and related security and reliability operations. It does not replace the privacy practices or terms of third-party services that you choose to connect, such as an operating system, app store, or network provider.
“Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be linked to an individual, account, device, or connected vehicle under applicable law.
2. Information we collect
The categories we process depend on the features you use, the device and operating system you use, your account settings, the permissions you grant, the connected device model, and the services available in your region.
Information you provide
- Account and authentication information. Email address, account identifier, password or other authentication material, verification codes, login method, and information needed to register, sign in, reset a password, maintain a session, or delete an account.
- Profile information. Nickname, name or other profile details, profile image or avatar, and preferences that you choose to provide. Optional fields may include contact details, country, state, region, date of birth, interests, language, or unit preferences when those fields are enabled.
- Connected-device information. QR-code or scan content, device type, model or definition name, device code, serial number, Bluetooth address or other device identifier, device alias, color, binding and unbinding history, tire position, and device settings or alert thresholds.
- Support and feedback information. Support category, subject, message, contact information, troubleshooting details, app and device details, diagnostic context, photos, files, and other attachments you choose to submit.
- Choices and communications. Permission choices, consent records, responses to support or service communications, and other information you provide when you contact us.
Information collected from the App and connected devices
- Device and App information. Device model, operating system and version, App version, language and region, network and connectivity status, IP address or similar network information, timestamps, permission status, and technical information needed to operate and secure the App.
- Bluetooth and nearby-device information. Nearby-device identifiers, scan results, connection state, Bluetooth service and characteristic data, signal information, supported capabilities, firmware versions, and device status. The exact data depends on the connected device and protocol. On some Android versions, the operating system may require a location permission for Bluetooth scanning; we use that permission for Bluetooth or nearby-device operation and do not thereby collect or store device location.
- Vehicle, ride, and diagnostic data. Where supported by your connected device, speed, power, assist level, mileage, battery or component status, settings, ride-history values such as duration, distance, top speed or calories, fault codes, diagnostic status, firmware status, and update progress.
- Camera and file information. When you use QR or barcode scanning, the camera may process frames to recognize a code. When you choose a profile image or support attachment, the selected or captured file may be stored locally and uploaded as needed for the feature. Camera frames are not used for unrelated purposes.
- Local storage and pending operations. The App may store session tokens, account summaries, securely stored sign-in credentials where supported by the platform, device bindings, and pending diagnostic or ride-history uploads on your device. Pending records are used to retry an operation and are removed when uploaded or no longer needed, subject to the platform and feature implementation.
- Technical logs and diagnostics. Request status, errors, Bluetooth operation status, firmware-update status, and security or abuse-prevention signals. Some troubleshooting logs may remain on your device unless you choose to send them to us.
Information from third parties
- Platform and service providers. We may receive installation, compatibility, authentication, delivery, security, or diagnostic information from app stores, operating systems, authentication services, cloud infrastructure, file storage, email services, and other providers that help operate the App.
- Connected-device and service partners. We may receive device metadata, firmware eligibility, diagnostic results, service status, or support information from a connected-device or service system when needed to provide the feature you requested.
3. How we use information
We use personal information only for specific, clear, and legitimate purposes and do not process it in a way that is incompatible with those purposes. Depending on applicable law, our processing may be based on providing the service you requested, performing our agreement with you, your consent, complying with a legal obligation, protecting safety or security, or another lawful basis.
- Register, authenticate, secure, maintain, and delete your Elyxon Go account.
- Provide password reset, verification, account recovery, customer support, and service communications.
- Discover, verify, bind, manage, unbind, and display supported vehicles and smart devices.
- Operate Bluetooth connections, device controls, device settings, alert thresholds, diagnostic functions, ride-history synchronization, and firmware-update flows.
- Process QR codes, profile images, support files, and diagnostic attachments when you ask us to provide the related feature or support.
- Send account, service, safety, security, firmware, diagnostic, recall, or maintenance communications.
- Protect accounts, devices, backend services, and users by detecting, investigating, preventing, and responding to fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, security incidents, technical failures, or violations of the Terms.
- Maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support product reliability and safety.
- Create aggregated, statistical, or de-identified information for reliability measurement, security analysis, service improvement, and product development.
4. How we share and disclose information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share or disclose information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers and processors. Vendors that provide hosting, cloud infrastructure, authentication, email or verification delivery, file storage, customer support, device or firmware services, security, diagnostics, and other services needed to operate the App.
- Connected-device and service partners. Information needed to verify ownership, provide firmware or diagnostic support, handle a service request, or operate the connected-device feature you select.
- Legal, safety, and security purposes. Courts, regulators, law-enforcement agencies, professional advisers, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, property, or the integrity of the App.
- Business transfers. Parties involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable confidentiality and privacy requirements.
- Your instructions or consent. When you ask us to share information or otherwise authorize the disclosure.
We require service providers to process personal information only for authorized purposes and to apply appropriate confidentiality and security protections. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
5. International processing
Your information may be processed or stored in China or in other countries where Ditai Technology, its affiliates, service providers, or partners operate. Where applicable law requires safeguards for cross-border processing, we will use the required notices, consent, contractual, security, regulatory, or other safeguards. You may contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your request.
6. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App and connected-device services, maintain your account, provide support, protect safety and security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain legitimate business records. Retention depends on the category of information and the reason it was collected.
- Account and profile information is generally retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure for security, support, legal, and business-record purposes.
- Device bindings, device settings, firmware, diagnostics, ride-history records, and support records are retained for the period needed to provide the feature, maintain service history, troubleshoot, or address product safety and reliability matters.
- Local pending uploads are associated with the signed-in account and are removed after successful upload or when no longer needed. You can also remove local App data through the operating system, subject to platform behavior.
- Security, authentication, backup, and fraud-prevention records may be retained for the period needed to protect users and exercise or defend legal rights.
After we verify an account-deletion request, we will delete or de-identify active account information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required or permitted for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backups, or other legitimate purposes. Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove information from secure backups, which is deleted or overwritten according to the applicable backup cycle.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the App. These measures may include access controls, authentication controls, secure platform storage, encryption in transit where supported and required, request or data encryption where configured, logging, monitoring, least-privilege access, vendor controls, and incident-response procedures.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You should keep your device, operating system, App, email account, and authentication credentials secure and notify us promptly if you believe your account or connected device has been accessed without authorization.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent and complain to a data-protection authority.
- Access and correction. Review or update available account and profile information in the App, or contact us to request access or correction.
- Deletion. Use the account-deletion flow in the App where available, or email us to request deletion. We may verify your identity and apply legal retention exceptions.
- Permissions. Grant, deny, or revoke camera, Bluetooth, nearby-device, and photo permissions in the App or device settings. Revoking a permission may disable the related feature. On some Android versions, the operating system may present the Bluetooth-scan permission as a location permission; the App does not use that permission to provide a location feature.
- Other rights. Contact us to request portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent where those rights apply.
To protect privacy, we may request information needed to verify your identity and authority. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any refusal or limitation where required.
9. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review and take appropriate action, including deletion or obtaining legally required parental consent.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the App, our processing practices, or applicable law. We will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the App, email, or another reasonable channel. Material changes will take effect as stated in the notice and as permitted by law. Your continued use of the App after the effective date means you acknowledge the updated Policy.
